This vintage tin box was a means of advertisement for The Ladies' Home Journal, and it is also a collectible item. The J journal was founded in 1883 as a women supplement to the Tribune and Farmer (1879-85) of Cyrus H.K. Curtisand was edited by his wife, Louisa Knapp; it began independent publication in 1884. This specific tin box sample features the cover of March 1910. It fits perfectly in a currently existing trend of complimenting contemporary styles with occasional eclectic pieces.

This tin has some age-related scratches and chipping.Tin box can still be of use for storage or simple as a vintage decoration piece. Leave as is or make it your own!
